Project Hope Pack

When children are removed from home due to abuse or neglect, they often leave with only the clothes on their back and whatever personal items can be hastily gathered up into a trash bag.

CASA for Douglas County partners with a network of child-serving agencies in our community to distribute Project Hope Packs to children entering foster care or being moved between placements. These backpacks contain essential hygiene and comfort items and serve as a sign of hope to boost children’s spirits and promote dignity and resilience in the face of adversity.

Engage your corporate or community group to collect essential items for Project Hope Pack. Items can be dropped off at the CASA office. Click the button for more information.

Purchase items from the Project Hope Pack Amazon Wish List, and ship your gifts directly to the CASA office. The wish list is updated regularly based on the most immediate needs.

It takes approximately $20 to provide a child with a Hope Pack. Your generosity helps CASA provide backpacks to more children in need of stability.

Thank you for your interest in helping with Project Hope Pack. There are three volunteer shifts each month:

1- An inventory to make sure we have the supplies to fill packs later in the month and/or a pre-pack of toiletries

2- Fill the backpacks for delivery

3-Distribute the backpacks to different agencies around the city. These can be done during business hours the last week of the month.

Corporate groups can contact the Project Hope Pack committee to schedule a volunteer shift. Click the buttons to sign up now!
