CASA Service League

CASA for Douglas County Service League

The Service League is an auxiliary organization and component of CASA for Douglas County, a Nebraska nonprofit organization.  The Service League is comprised of men and women committed to improving the lives of abused and neglected children.

Purpose of the Service League

The purpose of the CASA for Douglas County Service League is to:

  1. Assist in fundraising efforts for the benefit of CASA for Douglas County
  2. Enhance public awareness and understanding of CASA for Douglas County, a nonprofit agency providing advocacy to children in the foster care system
  3. Assist in activities of CASA for Douglas County as requested by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Eligibility

The CASA for Douglas County Service league shall be open to anyone who supports the mission of CASA for Douglas County.

Membership

There are two levels of membership for the CASA for Douglas County Service League.

  1. Active Member: Active members pay membership dues and participate in CASA for Douglas County Service League activities, attend general membership meetings and serve on committees. Active members are voting members of the CASA for Douglas County Service league and are eligible for officer positions.
  2. Sustaining Member: Sustaining members pay membership dues but do not participate in CASA for Douglas County Service League activities, attend general meetings or serve on committees.  Sustaining members are not voting members of the CASA for Douglas County Service League and are ineligible for officer positions.
