Be a Hero! Give a Child a Voice.

CASA for Douglas County trains, empowers and inspires volunteer advocates to improve the lives of abused and neglected children.  More than 1,300 Omaha children are entangled in the foster care system because of abuse and neglect.  Volunteers provide an innovative, cost-effective approach to a very urgent crisis.

It is your turn to make a difference in a child's life.

CASA depends on contributions from individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations to exist. Every NEW dollar contributed to CASA for Douglas County will be matched by the Parker Family Foundation.

General Donation

Your gift trains volunteer advocates to become a voice for a vulnerable child in foster care.

Kid's Activity Fund

Your gift provides children in foster care the opportunity to participate in “normalcy” activities (i.e. senior pictures, sports, art classes, etc.)

Children's Holiday Party

Every year, CASA for Douglas County hosts a Holiday Party for the children being served. Oftentimes, this is the only opportunity children get to spend time with their siblings and receive a gift. Your contribution will make this day magical for the kids.

20th Anniversary Year Sponsor

CASA for Douglas County will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018.  As part of the festivities, CASA will host the 5K Superhero Run for CASA and Unsung Heroes.

5K Superhero Run for CASA- On July 14, 2018, CASA will host the 8th Annual 5K Superhero Run in an effort to raise awareness about youth in foster care and how CASA is the VOICE for abused and neglected children-using citizen volunteers to advocate for them. This family-friendly event will take place at Midtown Crossing and features a 1K Kids Run, photo booth, and post-race pancake feed at Cantina Laredo.

Unsung Heroes- On September 13, 2018, CASA will host Unsung Heroes at Kaneko. The event is a dress-casual, after-hours social designed to honor those individuals who played a critical role in getting CASA for Douglas County started. Honorary chairs for the event are Kay Lynn and John Goldner. Kay Lynn Goldner has been a part of CASA since its beginning and had served as a CASA Volunteer, Board member and Service League member. CASA will pay tribute to four other individuals who have been critical to the success of the organization and a CASA youth who has benefited from having a CASA Volunteer. A short program will provide an up-close look at the life of a child in foster care, an opportunity to meet and talk with CASA Volunteers (previous and current) and a look at where CASA is headed, in the future.
